Prof. Rubina Hamid, daughter of Late Col. A Maleque, Psc (Retd) and wife of Dr. Kazi Akter Hamid, was born in Manikgonj. She obtained B.Com (Hons) M. Com in Management from the University of Dhaka and had her higher education in Canada. Just after completion of her master degree she joined the University of Dhaka as a Lecturer of department of management and at present she is a Professor of the same Department. She is a founder sponsor Director and at present the Chairperson of Sunlife Insurance Co. Ltd. She is also Sponsor Director and Chairperson of a number of Companies, which include Bangladesh Thai Aluminum Ltd. BD Thai Food and Beverage Ltd. Rahat Real Estate and Construction Ltd. World wide Enterprise Ltd. She has been serving in the Sunlife Insurance Co. Ltd. for last 12 years as Vice Chairperson and her contribution for development of the company is incomparable. She is now holding the charge of Chairperson immediate after resignation of the Chairman Mr. Zahid Maleque MP after being appointed as State Minister of Health & Family Welfare,Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. She holds pleasant personality. She is also a renowned social worker and an ideal housewife in her personal life. She is a Bangladeshi national. She obtained “Bank Bima Award” from Fortnight Bank Bima Magazine in 2007 as best female entrepreneur in Life Insurance Industry. She was also awarded “Moulana Bhashani Memorial Gold Madel” by Moulana Bhashani Research Academy in 2008 as best female entrepreneur in life Insurance Industry.

Mrs. Shabana Maleque, W/O Mr.Zahid Maleque MP honourable State Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh was born in a respectable Muslim family of Rajshahi. She obtained BA from Eden Mohila College under University of Dhaka. She is a founder director of Sunlife Insurance Company Ltd.
Mrs. Shabana Maleque is involved with different business houses as Director. She is also Director of Bangladesh Thai Aluminum Ltd, Rahat Real Estate and Construction Ltd, and Pristine Colour Ltd. She is 47 years old and has been serving the Sunlife Insurance Ltd. for last 13 years as sponsor Director. She is a women of amiable personality and ideal housewife in her personal life. She is a Bangladeshi national.

Dr. Kazi Aktar Hamid has a Doctorate of Laws (LL.D) degree from the University of Ottawa, Canada and Masters degree in Law from The Howard University Law School, Washington, D.C. He is a law practitioner and a Senior Lawyer of The Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He is the Vice Chairman of BD Thai Cosmo Ltd, Director of the Sunlife Insurance Company Limited and BD Thai Food & Beverage Ltd. He is also the legal advisor of BD Thai Aluminum Limited, Sunlife Insurance Company Limited, Rahat Real Estate & Construction Ltd., BD Thai Cosmo Ltd and BD Thai Food & Beverage Ltd. He plays an influential role in the policy matters of the companies. He is the Head of Chambers of the law firm "Dr. Hamid and Associates" and has also served as a consultant of The Law Reform Commission of Canada (LRCC) under the Justice Department of Canada.

Mr. Rahat Maleque is the son of Mr. Zahid Maleque MP and State Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. He is the Managing Director of Rahat Real Estate & Construction Ltd. and BD Sunlife Securities Ltd. and one of the Directors of Sunlife Insurance Company Limited, Rahat Real Estate & Construction Ltd., BD Sunlife Securities Ltd and BD Thai Food & Beverage Ltd. Like his father, he is dymanic, highly qualified and is extremely capable of administrating the aforesaid companies.

He is dynamic and hardworking and administrates the day to day activities of the companies he is involved with. He has excellent knowledge in IT sector.

Mr. M. Solaiman Hossain

Mr. AKM Shariful Islam is a competent and dynamic personality who is acknowledged for his exemplary contribution to the field of Insurance. In a very brief duration he has managed to reach the upper echelons of his field through constant hard work and perseverance. The year 1985 marked the inception of his career as he joined Jiban Bima Corporation as a Junior Officer where he received extensive training on computer programming like COBOL and Fortran as well as various aspects of Life Insurance.
In 1988 he joined Delta Life Insurance Company as an Executive officer. Within a short span of time, he was promoted to the position of Senior Executive. Due to his exemplary service and integrity, he was further promoted to Assistant Vice President and Vice President respectively. He played a significant role in obtaining Bangladeshi Expatriate Wage Earners' Group Insurance through which the company earned a premium of around Tk 350 million in two years.
Mr. Islam joined National Life Insurance Company in 1998 as Vice President and Head of Group Insurance Department. By virtue of his commendable contribution to the company's growth, he got promoted to the position of Senior Vice President shortly. His leadership skills were corroborated as he successfully shouldered the responsibility of HR Head of the company, Group Insurance Development, Policy Servicing and Development Administration Department. Furthermore, he successfully reformed Group Insurance department and introduced Health & Overseas Insurance Scheme.
He joined Golden Life Insurance in the year 2011 as Deputy Managing Director. The Board of Directors were thoroughly impressed by his remarkable leadership and promoted him to the prestigious position of Additional Managing Director in less than a years' time. He joined Diamond Life Insurance Company as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director in the year 2014. As Managing Director he strived round the clock to guide the company towards new heights of success.
He joined Sunlife Insurance Company on 4th June, 2017 as Chief Executive Officer.
From his early life he was involved in various extra-curricular activities which includes the prestigious Film Society Movement. He represented the country in FICC Grand Assembly held in Czechoslovakia in the year 1987. He also performed Jury responsibilities in the following international festivals:
- Gent International Film Festival held in Belgium in 1988.
- London Film Festival in the year 1988.
- Leipzig International Festival in Germany 2002.
- Tromso International Film Festival held in Norway 2006.
- Festival of Film Clubs held in Italy 2003 & 2004
- Hyderabad International Film Festival held in India 2008.
Besides Jury Duty, his achievements pertaining to the Film Society Movement are as follows:
- Represented the country in FICC Grand Assembly held in Czechoslovakia in 1987.
- Visited Paris on invitation of French Film Institute in 1988.
- Visited Stockholm on invitation of Swedish Film Institute.
- Attended Grand Assembly of FICC held in Italy in 2007.
Mr. Sharif has volunteered service as vice chairman to Social Upliftment Network(SUN) founded by Founder & Chairman Actuary Shafqat Ahmed Chaudhari.
He is married and blessed with two children. Mrs. Islam completed her Honors and Masters in Philosophy from Dhaka University. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor in a university-college in Dhaka.
